Suicide is something considered when something gets so bad there is little other option.  For Max Harris, it's not even an option.  "Undying" tells his story of being unable to die.  A quality that most would kill to have, Max simply finds it bizarre and strangely years for the ability to die.  He begins to investigate his unwilling immortality, and the unusual unknown force behind it.  "Undying" is a fantasy with many twists, highly recommended... The Midwest Book Review

Undying is a stunning tear-jerker with a poignant tone of bittersweet memory.  Written by Terrance McKnight, this is art transformed into the written word, with the emotional tone of the main character just dripping off the pages.  McKnight created his character as a talented artist, which cleverly translated into the written word of this narrative fiction.  The vibrancy of the paintings Max creates is crucial to the story, and portrays a breathless rending of how the tale unfolds.  The pain of losing a loved one and the aching from their absence is palpable.   This story evokes memories of anyone who's passed on  who is dearly missed.  This book is not for the faint of heart.  Not in the sense of graphic violence, but in touching the heartstrings of those people who would normally cry in a movie theater...Teak Hammel

Terrance McKnight is an author who is not afraid to get in touch with his emotional side.  He writes a sad but vibrant tale of undying love, even after death.  It's hard not to imagine that something personal must have brought this story into fruition from how strongly he writes. The artistry in this book is displayed in words depicting a vivid image of both paintings and emotion.  The story is told from Max's point of view, who rips open his heart and pours it out for all to see.  It will be hard to remain untouched by what he goes through, or how great a loss his wife was to the world, much less the one man she loved back. I was led on a roller coaster ride of emotions with this story  One moment, I was stricken with a sadness for having lost someone, and the next, I was gripped with the poignant impression of life's unfairness.  And through it all, as McKnight leads you through a cavalcade of emotions, he throws in another you never see coming, leaving you breathless and appalled. For whatever genre you like, this book is unique in its own right.  It's sure to touch some part of humanity in even the most callous individual.  And for that, it leaves you believing that life does exist after death...Cleveland T.

Terrance McKnight has a stunning grasp of human emotion and tragedy.  He displays this in Undying, which starts out with the main character, Max Harris, attempting suicide after his wife's funeral.  Told in the first person by Max, the story reflects on his life, especially with Elaine, his wife.  This way, readers see why her loss is so tragic to him.  As Max remembers her through his reintegration back into his life and through discussions with a psychiatrist, he recalls a reason to live yet.  The subject matter is death itself.  It explores the concept of life after death and whether there's anything out there.  As inspiring as it is, you won't find an ounce of religion in this.  It's . . . remarkable...Halle Bostwisk

WHEN EVEN DEATH WON’T HAVE YOU, WHO CAN
YOU TURN TO FOR SOLACE FROM UNBEARABLE GRIEF?

One of the greatest yet-unsolved mysteries of life is the question of life after death.  But in one man’s case, death refuses to take him into its embrace despite the extreme measures he’s taken to give himself up to it.  Many would consider that to be a miraculous opportunity for prosperity and the pursuit of self-interest.  But that wouldn’t be the case if the one thing most loved in life has been stolen, and only by dying can it be recovered.  In that event, it isn’t a gift; it’s a curse.

Terrance McKnight writes a masterful and emotional story of life, love, and learning to live after tragedy.  It nominally encompasses the mystery of how Max Harris’s young wife dies, leaving him devastated and suicidal.  As Max reflects on his short time with Elaine, reliving the phenomenal time they shared together, he has to reconcile the fact that the easy way out isn’t possible for him.  McKnight is a newcomer writer whose creative talent includes an emotional translation of art into life.  His decision to make his main character an artist conveys the medium by which McKnight renders this tale like breathtaking poetry.  Undying may not provide any definitive answers to what exists after death, but it provides some measure of continuity rather than an end for readers to believe in.

Undying is an amalgamation of genres done wonderfully together.  Romance, mystery, suspense, and a bit of the paranormal combine in a perfect balance designed to tug at the heartstrings of readers, while steeping them with emotions rarely drawn out through modern literature.  This story is for any reader with a question of mortality, the prospect of a searching for a soul mate, or simply anyone who wants to challenge their own cynicism.
